About Ciara

I’m Ciara Lyons, MSN, RN, PHN. I’ve spent over 14 years in clinical and public health nursing, most of it in maternal and family health. I’ve worked inside the systems that are supposed to catch women when things go wrong, and I’ve seen up close how often they don’t.

I’ve also been on the other side of the exam table. I went through IVF. I lost a pregnancy. I moved through postpartum depression without anyone around me naming it for what it was. None of my clinical training made those experiences easier — but it did teach me exactly where the gaps are, and what it takes to fill them.

What We Hold Collective is the practice I built out of both of those things — my nursing background and my own history. It holds two kinds of work: support through fertility treatment and pregnancy loss, and navigation through the postpartum season and the ongoing work of caring for your family’s health. Both are grounded in the same belief — that you deserve someone who understands the medicine, tells you the truth, and doesn’t rush you through any of it.

I currently serve as the West LA chapter representative for the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia, part of ongoing work in maternal health advocacy beyond my own practice.
